An abstracted representation of a calla lily and I am smitten by it. I don’t consider myself a floral painter, but I started a floral phase in my art in 2024 which has become a permanent phase 😊 I enjoy it so there will be more Petya-fied flowers in the future 😊
An addition to the floral themed series and my first ever lily on canvas. Isn’t she is a beauty. The lilies in my garden should be making an appearance soon, and I am hopeful that they have multiplied. I know I only planted three bulbs three years ago, and last year I saw five beautiful flowers.
My appreciation for magnolia started after an art exhibition at the Hidcote manor gardens where they have exquisite magnolia trees. Since then, I notice them throughout Cheltenham. This artwork is the beginning on my abstracted floral series. The magnolia flower is not dominating, but it demands attention. It feels so good to let my eyes wander.
