This artwork was inspired by “The traitors”. Yes, that’s right. I don’t spend much time watching TV and there are few programmes that captivate me – this is one of them. Each life story slowly unravels as people are pushed beyond their comfort zone and squirmingly adapt to the challenge in front. Human phychology – isn’t it fascinating?
A stunning depiction of a magnolia branch with blooming flowers, and buds waiting to wake up. Textured elements suggest depth but the vibrant bloom draws the eye to the surface and keeps it gliding.
I have many “favourite” colour combinations, “blue and orange” is one of the most striking. Here I used a new metallic turquoise as well, and oh how I love it. It is eye catching from every angle.
Such a good feeling coming form this painting. It’s free flowing not only because of the scene of flourishing flowers, but the swipe marks in the paint, the drips, the orange “bubbles”.
